For Students
HIGH SCHOOL STUDY ABROAD

HOME STAY
ACEE places students with a native-speaking host family. All host families are subject to a thorough screening and interview process so that each student is placed in the care of a safe, healthy, and responsible home. Transportation to school and nutritious meals are provided by each host family. ACEE values the unique experience that a home stay provides. A home stay fosters personal relationships with native speakers, motivates students to practice a foreign language, and immerses students in a rich and rewarding cultural experience.
GUARDIANSHIP
ACEE maintains complete guardianship over students in the program while they study abroad. This allows immediate response to emergency situations, representation and advocacy for student needs, and a supportive presence at school meetings. ACEE monitors a student’s progress through monthly follow-ups with schools, checking on attendance, academic performance, and social welfare.

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
ACEE seeks to provide extra-curricular opportunities for students. These activities allow students to explore various areas of interest, engage in creating friendships, and enrich their cultural experiences. During a yearly consultation, ACEE provides suggestions on beneficial clubs, organizations, and activities specifically suited to a student’s interests and talents. In addition, ACEE also plans optional trips so that students can enjoy and expand their cultural experience in the US.
TEST PREP
ACEE’s comprehensive test prep programs prepare students for achievement on college-placement tests. These preparatory courses also provide students with the language skills necessary for success in the classroom.

ACADEMIC CONSULTING
Our experienced and qualified staff supports students throughout their experience. Counselors and course experts guide students in their class selections, ensuring that students take courses which will help them be competitive at top universities.
SCHOOL & PARENT COMMUNICATION
ACEE understands the value of parents being actively involved in their child’s education. Therefore, we serve as the bridge for communication between schools and parents. ACEE sends monthly progress reports to parents detailing a student’s academic performance and his/her social development. ACEE can also schedule a teleconference call on an as-needed basis if serious concerns arise.
